Who We Are
Thrive for Good is an international nonprofit organization working to end poverty by addressing one of its root causes: hidden hunger.
Rather than providing temporary food aid, Thrive equips individuals and communities with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to grow their own nutritious food — sustainably and for life.
Since 2008, Thrive has partnered with local leaders across Africa and beyond to establish Life Gardens that improve health, strengthen families, and create economic opportunity.
Our Mission
We equip people who cannot afford healthy food to grow their own, in abundance.
Through training in organic agriculture, nutrition, and natural medicine, communities gain the ability to produce nutritious food, improve health outcomes, and generate income locally.
Our goal is lasting independence, not ongoing aid.
Locally Led, Globally Supported
Thrive believes lasting change must be led locally.
More than 90% of our team lives and works in the communities we serve. Trainers, educators, and program leaders are recruited locally and equipped to lead transformation within their own regions.
Our curriculum was developed alongside local leaders to ensure cultural relevance, long-term adoption, and community ownership.
This approach builds capacity that remains long after projects begin.
We Measure What Matters
Every Thrive project is monitored to understand its long-term impact on nutrition, health, and income generation.
We track outcomes through regular reporting, field data, and photographic documentation so supporters can clearly see the difference their giving makes.
Using Social Return on Investment (SROI), we continually evaluate where resources create the greatest lasting impact.
Accountability is not an obligation, it is a commitment we make to donors and communities alike.

Operational costs in Canada, including salaries, administration, marketing, and fundraising, are funded through major donors and social enterprises such as Natural Calm Canada and Bolton’s Naturals, which donate 100% of their profits to support Thrive’s operations.
This model allows every donated dollar to directly advance impact on the ground.
